GLADYS  AMANDA (Glassburn)   PIERCE

Mrs. Gladys A. Pierce, 77, 204 North Benton Street, Tampico, died Friday morning at Community General Hospital. 

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico with Rev. Brad Wilson, pastor of Tampico United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established to the Tampico Ambulance Service.

Mrs. Pierce was born March 7, 1907 near Tampico, the daughter of Glenn W. and Grace Dennison Glassburn.  She was united in marriage to Edwin Pierce on June 17, 1929 in Tampico.  Gladys worked for the Continental Telephone Company in Tampico for over 35 years.

She is survived by one son, Gordon, of South Holland and one grandson, Gordon Scott Pierce of South Holland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
