Mrs. Albert Ferris
Mrs. Albert Ferris, 81,mother of Mrs. Thomas J. Marshall, North Whistler Avenue, passed away at Sterling Public hopital yesterday where she had been for the past week.

Funeral services will be held at Fourth Street ethodist Church, Sterling, at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. V. Edward Birch will conduct the services and interent will be made in Tampico Cemetery.

Rebecca Jane Glassburn, eldest daughter of Albert J. and Mary Glassburn, was born Nov. 5, 1884, at Gallipolis, O [Ohio]. At the age of four she came to Illinois with her parents, the family settling on a farm near Tampico. Her marriage to Albert Ferris took place Oct. 12, 1882, and they resided on a farm. In 1893 they moved to Tampico where Mr. Ferris engaged in the livestock business. Mr. Ferris passed away in 1927.

At the age of 13 she was received into the Baptist Church and in 1900 affiliated with the Methodist Church and was active in church affairs for many years. She was also active in Sterling Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem, having served as worthy high priestess. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Marshall, who was with her at the time of her passing. A son, Clarence Edwin, passed away in infancy.
