PROPHETSTOWN – John E. “Jack” Brady, 90, of Prophetstown, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at his son’s home in Sterling.

Mr. Brady was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Neponset Township, the son of William E. and Genevieve D. (Driscoll) Brady. He served in the Army during World War II.

He farmed in the Prophetstown area for more than 50 years. Survivors include one daughter, Janet (Buddy) Wagner of Georgetown, Ky.; one son, John R. Brady of Sterling; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, James W. Brady; and two brothers, Ken Brady and Bud Brady.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home, 320 Lafayette St., Prophetstown, with the Rev. Jim Jensen, associate pastor of Gateway Faith Fellowship, Fulton, officiating.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.
