James A. Pratt

STERLING – James A. Pratt, 32, of Sterling, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

He was born Aug. 22, 1978, in Sterling, the son of Terry and Michele (Heimann) Pratt. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and English football fan. He enjoyed playing his guitar, music and working with and on electronic equipment.

Surviving are his fiancé, Courtney Tate of Sterling; their daughter, Morgan Pratt; their infant child, due in February 2012; his parents, of Prophetstown; his brothers, Joseph Pratt (Tracy Rippy) and David (Mandie) Pratt, both of Prophetstown; his maternal grandparents, Ben and Ethel Heimann of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; and his paternal grandparents, Lester and Anita Pratt of Prophetstown.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.

A memorial will be established.
