Dora Faye Hostetler - 78

Tampico - Dora Faye Hostetler, daughter of Amos and Kathryn (Unzicker) Hostetler, was born on December 9, 1933 at Roanoke, Illinois. She peacefully passed away at her home on July 14, 2012 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 5 days. 

She was diagnosed with cancer on February 10, 2011. 

She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized in her youth, and was a member of the Tourist Mennonite Church in Sarasota, Florida. She taught in local schools during her lifetime. 

Surviving are two sisters and three brothers; twin sister Doris Gerdes of Tampico, Illinois; Alta and husband Stanley Headings of Tampico, Illinois; Don Hostetler of Hotchkiss, Colorado; Paul Hostetler and his wife Elva of Tampico, Illinois; Les Hostetler and his wife Bertha of Tampico, Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister in law Merlene, and one brother in law Elmer. 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 AM at the Fairfield A.M. Church in Tampico. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Fairfield A.M. School in Tampico. Burial will be in the Fairfield A.M. Cemetery in Tampico. Arrangements have been completed by Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Condolences may be sent to www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
