LEONA MARSHANG

Sterling – Leona A. Marshang, 78, of Sterling died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Marshang was born July 8, 1923, in Rock Falls (IL), the daughter of E. A. and Cora (Smith) Williamson. She married Lyle E. Marshang on July 24, 1942. He died Dec. 25, 1989. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Sterling.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, James (Sylvia) Marshang of Sterling, Allan Marshang of Brooklyn, N, Y. and Lawrence (Rhonda) Marshang of Lyndon, a daughter, Wendy (Bob) Ceserek of New Port Richey, Fla., three sisters, Laura Truedson of Rock Falls, Henrietta (Harold) Wolber of Sterling and Cora (Miles) Wharfield of Laferia, Texas, six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Williamson.

Memorial service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Sterling. Private burial of cremains is at Oak Koll Memorial Park, Sterling. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Falls.
