Tampico - Larry L. Sandrock, age 73, of Tampico, IL, died Wednesday July 17th, 2013 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. 

Larry was born on April 15th, 1940 in Morrison, IL, the son of Harry and Dorothy (Nelson) Sandrock. He was united in marriage to Joyce Wolber on April 23rd, 1961 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorktown, IL. He was retired from Glafka’s Tire City in Sterling. He was the superintendent of Sunday School at St. Paul’s Lutheran at Yorktown church for many years, worked for Chapin Creamery in Tampico, and Cady Implement. He was a member on the Tampico Fire Department for 45 years and was a former chief.

He is survived by his wife Joyce of Tampico, IL; one son Kevin (Dorie) Sandrock of Rock Falls, IL; one daughter Kayla Link of Tampico, IL; five grandchildren Dustin (Lisa) Sandrock, Kourtnie Link, Alexis Ewald, Richard (Nicole) Link Jr., Jon (Nicole) Link; one great granddaughter Lillian Link; one brother Lee (Dawn) Sandrock of Rock Falls, IL; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Loren and one son-in-law Richard Link Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 22nd, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Garland Funeral Home in Tampico, with the Rev. Bob Hasselbring, pastor at the First Church of Nazarene in Sterling, officiating. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery in Yorktown. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21st 2013 from 2-6 P.M. at Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. A memorial has been established in his memory.
