Patricia A. SigelPatricia A. SigelTAMPICO – Patricia A. Sigel, 79, of Tampico, was called to heaven to join her beloved husband on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, in Tampico.

She was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Rogers City, Mich., the daughter of Michael and Clara (Dost) Kerr. She was united in marriage to Barlow Roy Sigel on Nov. 7, 1953, in Rogers City. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1989. Patricia worked at the Dutch Diner, ran a catering service, and worked at Wandell and Reed Investments during her lifetime. One of her biggest loves was evangelizing, as she was a member of Sacred Heart Prayer Group. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons, Daniel (Patricia) Sigel of Sterling, Michael (Debbie) Sigel and Robert (Mary Jo) Sigel, both of Tampico, and Karl (Caryn) Sigel of Simpsonville, S.C.; one daughter, Anita Sigel of Tampico; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike (Linda) Kerr of Rogers City; two sisters, Louise Wilson of Washington state and Mabel (Keith) Weiland of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandson, two brothers, and two sisters. 

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., Monday at Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tampico. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico.

A memorial has been established to St. Mary Catholic Church in Tampico.
