Tampico - Bernadine M. Yaklich, age 87, of Prophetstown, Illinois, died Monday, September 9th, 2013 at Prophets Good Samaritan in Prophetstown, Illinois. 

Bernadine was born on December, 26th 1925 in Herrick, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Viva (Musser) Moore. She was united in marriage to Frank Yaklich on May 31st, 1944 in LaSalle, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 13th, 2002. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary for many years. She had a love for traveling and gardening. 

She is survived by 3 daughters: Mary (Rod) Ollas of Spokane, WA, Patricia Earl of Lincoln, IL, Donna (Doug) Matlock of Bloomington, IL; 4 sons: Frank (Kathy) Yaklich of Rock Falls, IL, Robert (Kim) Yaklich of Tampico, IL, David (Judy) Yaklich of Rock Falls, IL, Mike (Melodee) Yaklich of Kewanee, IL; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and six brothers; LeRoy of Amboy, IL, Larry of Amboy, IL, Denney of Amboy, IL, Earl of Milledgeville, IL, Norman of Brighton, CO and Less of Ilwaco, WA. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters.

A prayer service will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 9:30 A.M. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M .on Saturday, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tampico, IL, with Father Zdzislaw Francis Wawryszuk, pastor at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Prophetstown, officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13th, 2013 at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico, IL from 5-7 P.M. A memorial has been established in her memory.
