MRS. ZELLA GLODEN TAKEN BY DEATH
Funeral services for Mrs. Zella Gloden, 41, were held in the Parent Chapel at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Rev/ Joe Walker, pastor of the Methodist Church of which she was a member, brought a message of comfort using Romans 8:18, "I consider that the  sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us," as his text. He spoke on Jesus' concern for those who  had to meet life with work and labor and how He had the greatest respect for them. He closed with the familiar verse, "Come unto me, all ye that  labor...and I will give ye rest." 
 
Music for the service consisted of recordings of "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and the "Lord's Prayer."
 
Mrs. Clyde Morgan Mrs. Merle Marx, Mrs. Arlyn Pratt, Mrs. Ed TAets and Mrs. Robert Nuelle were in charge of the many beautiful flowers.
 
In terment was in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery with Clayton Smith, Arlyn Pratt,  Leroy STeewart , Merle Marx, Nim Gosney and Ed Taet serving as  casket bearers. 
 
Zella Mary, daughter of Mrs. Minnie Pope of Tampico  and the late John T Pope, was born Dec. 2, 1910 in Hume Township.
 
She was graduated from Tampico High School in 1930.
 
In 1936 she was married to Marion Gloden of Walnut at Morrison.  Mrs. Gloden had devoted her life  to the care of her two young daughters, Carol and Sharon. 
 
She passed away Sunday morning, June 15, after an illness of several weeks.
 
Besides her daughters, she is survived by her mother,; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Terrock and Mrs. Thomas (Esther Ellen) Rasmussen of Sterling and Evalynn Pope of Tampico; and one brother, Jack W. Pope of Sterling.
