Dorothy A. Heller

October 26, 1923 - November 29, 2015

DOROTHY A. HELLER, 92, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, IL, died Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.

Dorothy was born October 26, 1923, in Tampico, IL, to Elmer and Hulda (Ufkin) Pierson. She was educated in the Tampico Grade School and was a graduate of Tampico High School. Dorothy married George C. Heller on June 6, 1943, in Rock Falls, IL. She was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL. Dorothy was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, George; one daughter, Diane (Doug) Hull of Prophetstown, IL; one son, Dennis (Mary Jo) Heller of Shoreline, WA; one daughter-in-law, Lynette Heller of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren, David (Semele) Heller, Jennifer (Ruben) Palomares, Dawn Heller, Dana (Andi) Strasser, Marlene (George) Meaders, Daniel (Peggy) Hull, and Brian (Betsy) Hull; eleven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Pierson of Rock Falls, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rodney Heller; and one brother in infancy.

 

Funeral Information

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, IL

OFFICIATING: Rev. Oscar N. Carrasco - Pastor of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church - Prophetstown, IL

VISITATION: 12:00 PM, until the time of the service, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church in Prophetstown, IL

INTERMENT: Riverside Cemetery - Prophetstown, IL

THE BOSMA-GIBSON FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS
