Ronald E. Peterson, 74, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at home.

 

Born July 3, 1941 in Sterling, he was the son of John and Drusilla (Mitchell) Peterson. He married Debra Pierceson on September 15, 1993 in Morrison.

 

He was a US Navy veteran and was employed with NICIL as a Care Plan Coordinator until retiring in 1993.

 

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Debra, of Rock Falls; a daughter, Kelly (Eric) Brannon of Hardin, Illinois; a step-son Michael Wiemken of Rock Falls; a sister, Twila (Don) Sellnow of Watertown, Wisc.; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Amber and Autumn Brannon; and a great grandson, Braxton Brannon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Eric Peterson.

 

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 AM Saturday April 2, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Borton officiating. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. A memorial has been established in his memory.

 

Pallbearers will be Donald Sellnow, Donald Sellnow, Jr., Brian Lewis, Brian Lewis, Jr., Brok Lewis and Doug Lewis.
