DEER GROVE – James W. Hostetler, 68, of Deer Grove, died Tuesday Oct. 4, 2016, of a massive hemorrhage of the brain at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

He was born Oct. 6, 1947, in Princeton, the son of Herman and Lela (Shrock) Hostetler. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three sons, Gilbert (Julie) Hostetler, Rodney (Beverly) Hostetler, and Jessie (Kendra) Hostetler; four daughters, Sheila (Kenneth) Headings, Shirley (Grant) Garretson, Lucinda Hostetler, and Karen (Chris Martin) Hostetler, all of Tampico; one brother, Norman (Gloria) Hostetler; and one sister, Loretta (Donald) Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Eleanor Vanpelt.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church in Tampico.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Garland Funeral Home in Tampico is handling arrangements.
