She peacefully passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 8 days, at her home, after being bed-fast for over 6 months. Grandma suffered from dementia the last several years of her life, during which she was lovingly cared for by her children. Her health slowly declined, and she suffered several mini strokes along with other complications.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her youth and was baptized, being a faithful member of Bethel Amish Mennonite Church in Berryville until her death.

She was united in marriage on June 2, 1957 to Willis Kropf, son of Joe and Alice Kropf, sharing the joys and sorrows of married life for almost 54 years. This union was blessed with eight children, Donna, and husband, Richard Hostetler of Berryville; Eileen and husband, Edwin Hostetler of Hotchkiss, Colorado; Gary and wife, Judith of Berryville; Maxine and husband, Randy Headings of Tampico; Delores and husband, Mark Ulrich of Gleason, Wisconsin; Galen and wife, Monica of Berryville; Sherry and husband, Kenyon Hostetler of Tampico; and Jason and wife, Marlea of Berryville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; sister, Darlene; five grandchildren, Janel, Kevin, Kreg, Ron and Shane; and seven great-grandchildren, Kensie, Kaleb, Tiffany, Kristi, Nevin, Makayla and Malisa.

Grandma had a deep concern about the spiritual welfare of her family and church. She was concerned about drift in the church and had an appreciation for Biblical traditional values. She often showed her appreciation for the acts of kindness shown to her.

A special thanks to the grandchildren, their spouses, and others for all the hours they sacrificed, faithfully and lovingly caring for Grandma over the last several years. We also wish to express a heartfelt thank you to Hospice for their big part in helping us keep Grandma comfortable.
