Ethel Mae Howard, age 79, died on February 18, 2020 at the Rock Falls Rehab Facility.
Ethel was born on July 24, 1940, in Bedford, IL, the daughter of Frank and Rosa (Inman) Cumby. She worked in retail as a clerk for many years. In her free time she loved to play cards with her friends and family. Mostly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving family members are her sons Curt (Tandy) Howard, Brad (Angie) Howard, and Brian (Ginny) Howard; her brother James (Ruth Ann) Cumby of Rock Falls; and five grandchildren Megan, Casey, Josh, Brooke, and Chris.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her sister Ida Abell; her brothers Bill, John, Tom, and Donald.
A visitation will be on Friday February 21, 2020 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will conclude at Coloma Township Cemetery.
