SHEILA JUNE (CROW) RASER, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Allure of Prophetstown.

A private family visitation will be held at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown. Graveside services will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown with Rev. Mark Myers, pastor of Prophetstown United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Prophetstown United Methodist Church and Prophetstown Ambulance Service.

Sheila was born November 4, 1920, in Derby, IA, to James T. and Marie L. (Schade) Crow. She attended school in Lucas, IA, graduating from High School there. She went on to attend and graduate from Jane Lamb Nursing School in Clinton, IA as an RN. She began working at Morrison Hospital in Morrison, IL, alongside her mother. Sheila married the love of her life, Charles Dale Raser on January 15, 1947, at the parsonage in Morrison. They met on a blind date arranged by one of her friends. They lived on the family farm south of Prophetstown where they raised their family. Sadly, Dale passed away on August 7, 1967. Sheila continued to manage the farm until her passing. Sheila was a talented seamstress and enjoyed doing alterations for many clients. She also enjoyed collecting dolls. She was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church, where she also participated in the church circle. She was a member of the WaTanYe Club and a member for over 45 years of the Royal Neighbors of America Adult Chapter 516.

Sheila is survived by her three children, Susan Raser of Cooper, TX; Gregory (Kathy) Raser of Prophetstown and Charles Bryan Raser of Prophetstown; three grandchildren, Mitchell (Casey Lewis) Raser of Prophetstown; Jeremy (Gayla) Raser of Tampico, IL; and Kelly (Jeremy) Brooks of Prophetstown; eight great-grandchildren, Alex, Addison, Erika, and Aaron Raser; Braiden, Koby, Jakob, and Ellah Brooks; one step great-grandchild, Gabriel Bohms; and her sister, Loretta Crow of Allure of Prophetstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Harriet Crank and Verda Crow.
