TAMPICO – Doris E. Bryan, 90, of Tampico, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society – Prophets Riverview in Prophetstown.

She was born May 3, 1928, in Neponset, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Taylor) Bumphrey. She married Wayne Bryan in July 1948, in Tampico. She was employed from 1966 to 1988 at Penberthy in Prophetstown. She was a member of Tampico Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and collecting match safes.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne; two sons, Michael (Deann) Bryan of Tampico and Robert (Patricia Ruddel) Bryan of Tampico; her daughter, Ruth Sturtevant of Milledgeville; her sisters, Alice Cornstubble of Rock Falls, Mary Jane (Norden) Scanlan of Tampico and Kathryn of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jacqueline Jaquet; granddaughter, Kelly Jaquet; three brothers, William, John and Jerry Bumphrey; and her sister, Marge Landseidel.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, and the funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tampico Baptist Church, with Ethan Horton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Garland Funeral Home in Tampico is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Tampico Baptist Church.
