Mrs. Leroy W. (Katheryn) Johnson, 60, of Prophetstown, passed away Monday evening at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ in Prophetstown with Robert Toothman officiating with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown.

Katheryn R. Raser was born March 14, 1922 in Geneseo to Charles and Gertrude (hines) Raser. She graduated from Prophetstown, schools and Moline Business College. 

Kathryn married Leroy JOhnson of Prophetstown on August 10, 1947. They lived in Prophetstown ever since their marriage. She was employed as secretary before marriage, and later had served as secretary of the White Cloud GAllery. She was a member of the Church of Christ where she was a pianst fist 20 years.

A memorial has been established for either Winning Wheels or the American Cancer Society.

Survivors included two sons, Bruce Johnson, Prophetstown; Joel Johnson, Springfield, Illinois; her husband; one sister, Mrs. George (Oral)Johnson, Yorktown.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one daughter in infancy; two brothers.
