Tampico Tornado, May 13, 1926

Mrs. John W. Isherwood, a highly respected resident of Rock Falls, passed away at her home last Friday from the infirmitis of old age. Had she lived until May 15, she would have reached her 86th birthday.

On May 4th she celebrated her 64th wedding anniversary with her husband who still survives her. Mr. and Mrs. Isherwood had been residents of Rock Falls for about 54 years, during which time they made many close and loyal friends. She was a member of the Methodist church, in which she was an active worker until advancing age made this impossible. She was also active in the work of the W. R. C. for many years.

Despite her advanced age, Mrs. Isherwood was quite well and active until er recent sickness. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two sons, George Isherwood of Rockford and Earl Isherwood of Sterling, one daughter, Mrs. R. L. Ford of Rock Falls, one grandaughter, Miss Vida Isherwood of Rockford, three brothers, George Myers and Henry Myers of Gladbrook, Iowa and Peter Myers of Garwin, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Lynn  Morrison of Paulina, Iowa, besides hosts of friends and more distant relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the late home in charge of Rev. J. J. Hitches, and interment was made in the Valley Mauseleum in Riversdale Cemetery.

The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of many friends in this vicinity.
