CON CUNNINGHAM IS DEAD

Prominent Farmer of Hahnaman Towhship Died Last Week At His Home

Cornelius CUNNINGHAM one of the old and highly respected citizens of Hahnaman township died last Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his home three miles east of Tampico. He had not been well for three months and death came as a result of the infirmities of old age.

The funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's church Requiem high mass was said by Rev. L. X. DuFOUR assisted by Father FLYNN of Ohio and Fother DORN of Morrison. Internment was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Cornelius CUNNINGHAM was born in county Kerry, Ireland and emigrated to this country in 1850. He resided in the east for a year and then moved to Rockford, Illinois, later going to Wisconsin where he lived until 1867 and then came to Hahnaman township where he as since made his home. He was married in Pennsylvania Nov. 14, 1856 to Miss Eliza FOGARTY who was a native of Ireland. Eleven children were born to them, ten of whom with the wife survive. They are: John, Frank, Thomas, Ed, Charles, Maggie and Nellie residing in Hahnaman, Lizzie of Chicago, Mrs. D. DONAHUE of Tampico and Mrs. John MANION of Sterling.

Mr. CUNNINGHAM was one of the vicinity and was well known throughout the county. He was the owner of several fine farms which he had accumulated by honest toil since coming to this country from Ireland, his birth place. He was well liked and his relatives have the sympathy of all in their loss.
