MRS. JOSIE JOHNSON

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Josie JOHNSON, 89, Sheffield, were held Thursday at the Carl Johnson Funeral Home in Sheffield with the Rev. Warren CHRISTIAN, pastor of the Sheffield Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Sheffield Cemetery.

 

Mrs. JOHNSON was born Nov. 6, 1873, in Fairfield Township, daughter of Andrew and Lena LINDAHL. She was married to John H. JOHNSON Feb. 8, 1898. She was a member of the Sheffield Methodist Church, a charter member of the Gold Town Thinble Club, Sheffield Home Bureau, Rural Welfare club, the Royal Neighbors club, the Rebekah Lodge, Mother of WWII, and the American Legion Auxillary.

 

Survivinig are two daughters, Hazel JOHNSON, Oak Park, and Mrs. R. L. (Mabel) MYERS, Moline; and three sons, Harvey, Champaign; Leonard, Sheffiled and John, Morrison; one sister, Mrs. Minnie EDBERG, Prophetstown; eight grandchildren and three great grand children. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1951, and two children, Myrtle and Harry.
