Willard Peach

 

            Willard D. Peach, age 74, of 400 W. Kimball St. in Tampico, IL died Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

            Mr. Peach was born on April 9, 1931 in LaMoille, IL, the son of Charles W. and Cora L. (Mead) Peach.  He was united in marriage to Nancy Whiteside on June 18, 1954 in Walnut, IL.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked at John Deere as a combine repairman for 27 years before retiring in 1991.  He was a member of the Tampico Church of Christ and enjoyed reading Louis Lamour books.  He loved his grandchildren, working in his garden and doing yard work.

            He is survived by his wife Nancy of Tampico, IL; three sons Larry (Karen) Peach of Mendota, IL, Ken Peach of Deer Grove, IL, Bill (Diane) Peach of Madrid, IA; one daughter Barb Peach of Tampico, IL; five grandchildren; one brother Lyle Peach of Princeton, IL; two sisters Ila Allen of Princeton, IL, Lois Hansen of New Bedford, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, one son David, two brothers Wayne dn Delmar Peach and one sister Velva Akridge. 

            Funeral services were conducted October 28 at the Garland Funeral Pastor Pearle Lande officiating.  Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation was held October 27 at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.  A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
