Richard Buller

 

            Richard P. Buller, 74 of Prophetstown, formerly of Erie, died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

            Sevices ere held June 23 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Erie.  Burial was in Erie Cemetery.  Visitation and a rosary were held June 21 at Gibson Funeral Home, Erie.

            Richard Paul Buller was born March 8, 1931 in Moline, the son of Lucian and Mary DeConick Buller.  He married Carol Emmerson on February 14, 1953 in East Moline.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 – 1952 and he spent many years with the U.S. Naval Reserves.  He retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in 1996 after 24 years of service.

            Mr. Buller was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the Erie American Legion.  He enjoyed woodworking.

            Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Blane Bolte, Walcott, IA, sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Sandi Buller, Silvis and Rick and Jane Buller, Burlington, IA, grandchildren, Paul, Anna, Ryan, Mitch, Carlie and Mackenzie, and sisters, Mary Lou Rockwell, Moline, Virginia Fogele, Moline, Nancy Miller in Mississippi and Tammy Underwood in Alabama.  Memorials may be made to the Alzeheimers’ Associaiton.
