GEORGE ELMER VAN DUSEN
 
George E. Van Dusen, Rock Falls Carpenter, Dies Friday Morning
 
George Elmer Van Dusen, 60, 513 Galt avenue, Rock Falls, a carpenter in this community for many years, died at 4:15 a.m. Friday at the Home hospital.
 
The body was removed to the Wheelock funeral home, Rock Falls, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.
 
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday  at Wheelock's.  Rev. Harry E. Shiffer, pastor of the Rock Falls Christian church, of which Van Dusen was a member, will officiate.  Interment will be in Riverside cemetery.
 
Mr. Van Dusen was born June 1, 1892, in Oklahoma, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Riley Van Dusen.
 
Surviving are his wife; one son, Gerald of Rock Falls; eight daughters, Mrs. Melvin Durr, Sterling, Mrs. Bennie Stevens, Sterling, Mrs. Gerald Purkapile of Rock Falls, Mrs. George Stees of Rock Falls,  Mrs. Milo Bryant of Rock Falls, Mrs. Edwin Lauts of Sterling, Miss Georgia Van Dusen and Miss Helen Van Dusen at home; 22 grandchildren;  four brothers, Albert Van Dusen of North Pekin;  Wayne Van Dusen, Lyndon;  William and Henry Van Dusen of Rock Falls;  four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Barklow, Wilton, Ia., Mrs. Grace Taylor, Pekin;  Mrs. Mae Henderson, Peoria, and Mrs. June Wiggens of Dixon.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Virgil, and one daughter, Ida Belle Van Dusen.
