Mrs. Ina Ferris Passes Away Sunday Afternoon
 
Mrs. Ina Ferris passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday in her home, 609 E. 3rd St.  She had been in failing health since last July.
 
The body was taken to the Parent Funeral Chapel at Tampico, where funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday.  Burial will be made in Tampico Memorial cemetery.
 
Born in Gallipolis, Ohio, Feb. 10, 1867, Mrs. Ferris came to Illinois with her parents at the age of two years.  She had since resided in Whiteside and Bureau counties.  She was united in marriage to Ralph Ferris on Feb. 5, 1885.  To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Mable Clapper, with whom Mrs. Ferris made her home since 1911.  Mrs. Ferris was active in home and social affairs until her death.
 

Surviving is her daughter, Mrs. Mable Clapper, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister.

MRS. INA FERRIS TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. Ina FERRIS of Sterling, a resident of Tampico for many years, passed away at her home Sunday afternoon after a long illness. She was 80 years old.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Parent chapel in Tampico with Rev. Hollis WHARTON, pastor of the Walnut Methodist church officiating.

Recordings of "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Face to Face" were played during the service.

Mrs. A. M. GHOLSON, Mrs. Edfwin PIERCE and Mrs. Gordon GLASSBURN were in charge of the lovely flowers.

Burial was in the Tampico Memorial Cemetery with Roy NELSON, A. E. BENNETT, Fred JOHNSON, George JOHNSON, Joseph SCHMITT and LeRoy KELLY serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. FERRIS, daughter of Albert and Mary GLASSBURN, was born Feb. 10, 1867 in Gallipolis, Ohio.  She came to Illinois with her parents at the age of two years. She had resided in Whiteside and Bureau counties.

On Feb. 5, 1885,  she married Ralph FERRIS. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Mabel CLAPPER., with whom Mrs. FERRIS had made her home since 1911.

Mrs. FERRIS was active in home and school affairs until her death.  She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Mable CLAPPER, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers, John P.. Albert J., Glen W., and Roy; and one sister, Mrs. Albert (Rebecca) FERRIS.
