IDA (Barenthin) LYON
Mrs. Ida Lyon, Former Local Resident, Dies
 
Mrs. Ida Lyon, 64, died early Sunday morning at Broadlawn General hospital, Des Moines, Ia., following an extended illness.
 
The body was brought to the Wheelock funeral home, Rock Falls, were friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday.
 
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Wheelock's with Rev. A. Thalacker, pastor of the Des Moines Lutheran church, officiating.  Interment will be in Yorktown, Illinois, cemetery.
 
Mrs. Lyon was born Dec. 25, 1889 at Yorktown, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Berenthin.  She had not lived in this vicinity for many years.
 
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Marcia Lyon, Iron Mountain, Mich., and a daughter, Idabelle, whose last name and address are unknown; two sons, Stuart Lyon of Ames, Ia., and Kenneth Lyons, address unknown;  two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Carroll of Sterling and Mrs. Christine Gilkey of Corvallis, Ore.;  two brothers, Edward Barenthin of Redwood Falls, Minn., and William Barenthin of Galesville, Wis.;  and by several neices and nephews.
