Glenn Glassburn Buried In Memorial Cemetery
 
Tampico: - Glenn W. Glassburn, 67, Tampico, died Sept. 6, the victim of a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Parent Chapel with the Rev. Hollis Wharton, Walnut, officiating.  Interment was in Tampico Memorial cemetery.
 
Pallbearers were Roy Nelson, Temple Meyers, Arthur Davis, Paul Wetzell, Roy Hockman and Vernon Newman. The Masons had charge of the burial at the cemetery, with Dr. Tyler, Prophetstown, reading the ritual.
 
Out of town persons who attended the funeral were Mrs. Mabel Clapper, Mrs. Mae Mitchell, Mrs. Edna Allen and Don Glassburn, Sterling;  Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J Marshall, Freeport;  Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Glassburn, Grand Junction, Calif.;  Mrs. Earl Gregorious, Rock Falls, and H. H. Denison, Madison, Wis.
 
Glenn Glassburn was born December 4, 1884, at Hahnaman Township, the son of Albert and Mary Glassburn.  He was reared and educated at the place of birth.  On January 24, 1906, he was married to  Grace Denison at Tampico.  During his life he was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Methodist Episcopal church and was engaged in farming.
 
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Kenneth of Grand Junction, Calif., and Gordon of Tampico; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Gladys) Pierce; one sister, Mrs. Ina Ferris, Sterling; and one grandson, Gordon Pierce.  Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and one sister.
