Fred Roy Hunt Dies; Funeral Services Will Be Conducted Thursday
 
Prophetstown:  - Fred Roy Hunt, 70, died Sunday evening at Morrison Community Hospital where he was taken in the Gardner ambulance shortly before noon Sunday.
 
The body was taken to the Gardner Chapel where friends may call.  Funeral services will be conducted at the Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. the Rev. William Nicoll, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
 
Mr. Hunt was born April 6, 1889 in Ohio,Ill., the son of John W. and Mary Fanning Hunt.  He moved to Prophetstown from Erie to make his home in 1922.  He was married to Agnes Griede of the Denrock community on Oct. 21, 1911.  He worked as a trucker in the community for many years.
 
Survivors are his widow, one son Harold, Anaheim, Calif.;  three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Marian) Bodenhofer, Rock Island;  Mrs. Edward (Marjorie) Hanell; Moline;  Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Truitt, Prophetstown; and seven grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
