Mrs. Nellie Obendicke Dies, Funeral Rites Will Be Saturday
 
Prophetstown: - Mrs. Nellie Mae Obendicke, 81, 202 W. Third St., Prophetstown, died Thursday evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. Etta Misfeldt in Rapid City, where she had resided since March 1960.
 
The body was removed to the Dailey Funeral Home in Port Byron where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. the Rev. Kenneth Ursing, pastor of the Rapid City Christian Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Grove Riverdale Cemetery in Prophetstown.
 
Mrs. Obendicke was born Oct. 17, 1879 in Green River, the daughter of Edmund and Mary Jane Wood Hart.  She was married to John Henry Obendicke on March 1, 1899.
 
She was a member of the Prophetstown Methodist Church and the Women's Relief Corps.
 
Survivors are three sons, Edmund, Cordova;  Millard, Prophetstown, Donald, Mineral;  two daughters, Mrs. Otto (Dorothy) Arp, Rock Island;  Mrs. Leslie (Bernice Johnson, Prophetstown; eleven grandchildren; eleven great -grandchildren; one brother, Ivory Hart, Hillsdale;  three sisters, Mrs. Etta Misfeldt and Mrs. Gertrude Downing, both of Rapid City;  Mrs. Florence Swank, Prophetstown.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter and her parents.
