Wayne HARMS

 Kissimmee, Fla. – W. Wayne Harms, 74, of 2670 cypress Lane, Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Tampico, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Orlando Regional Medical Center, St. Cloud, Fla. He farmed in the Tampico area for 30 years until retiring.

 

Mr. Harms Was born Dec. 24, 1927, in Tampico, the son of Richard and Mamie (LARSON) HARMS. He married Dathel I. ELLIS on Oct. 8, 1950, in Walnut. He was a member of Tampico United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Ronald HARMS of Colona, Donald (Tammy) HARMS of Hampton and Dale (Karla) HARMS of Tampico, a daughter, Kari Rae WILLMAN of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a niece.

 

The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Tampico United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lauren Gerber officiating. Burial is at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico.

 

A memorial has been established to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
