OBITUARY, Mr. Boline Olson, age 94, of 108 N. Lincoln Street, Tampico, Illinois died Monday morning, April 9, 1990, in his home in Tampico.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico with Rev. Robert May, pastor of the Tampico United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery where graveside military rites will be conducted by Tampico American Legion Post 574. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A memorial has been established in his memory to the Tampico Ambulance.

Mr. Olson was born on September 7, 1895 in Fairfield Twp., Illinois, the son of Engerman and Emma Olson. He was united in marriage to Alice E. Wetzell on June 22, 1937 in Tampico, Illinois. He was a rural letter carrier in the Tampico area for 41 year and retired in 1965.

He served in the U. S. Army during WWI, was a lifetime member of Tampico American Legion Post 574, and graduated from Scovill Business College in Sterling, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Alice E. Olson of Tampico, 3 daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joan) Johnson and Mrs. David (Betsy) Hoover, both of Tampico, Illinois and Mrs. Ernest (Ava) Little of Sterling, Illinois, 7 grandchildren, 1 sister, Mrs. Sigrid Pierson of Prophetstown, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

BOLINE OLSON

Tampico: - Boline Olson, 94, of 108 N. Lincoln St., died Monday at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Garland Funeral home, Tampico. Burial in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Olson was born Sept. 7, 1895 in Fairfield Township, Bureau County, the son of Engerman and Emma Olson. He married Alice Wetzell, June 22, 1937 in Tampico. He was a mail carrier in Tampico for 41 years, retiring in 1965. He was in the U.S. Army during World War I, a member of Tampico American Legion, a graduate of the Scovill Business College in Sterling.

Survived by his wife, Alice, Tampico; three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Joan) Johnson, Mrs. David (Betsy) Hoover of Tampico, Mrs. Earnest (Ava) Little, Sterling; seven grandchildren, one sister Sigrid Pierson of Prophetstown.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
