BLANCHE  (Johnson)   HATLAND
Walnut: - Mrs. Blanche Ruth Hatland, 83, of 301 W. Walnut St., Walnut, died Wednesday afternoon in the Walnut Manor Nursing Home following a long illness.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Allen-Schmitt-Garland Funteral home with the Rev. Allen Fedder, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Walnut, officiating.  Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established in her memory.
 
Mrs. Hatland was born Aug. 25, 1898 in Leland, the daughter of William and Martha (Tysdale) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Clarence M. Hatland on Dec. 25, 1922 in Leland. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1966.  She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Walnut and an honorary member of the Walnut Garden Club.
 
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Dill of Vallejo, California, and Mrs. Lee (Doris) Ganschow of Walnut; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Carol Heaton, one grandson, three sisters and two brothers.
