LEONA (Fritsch) GUMFORY  HAYDEN
 
Tampico: - Mrs. Leona (Gumfory) Hayden, 81, formerly of Tampico, died Tuesday morning in Clearwater, Kansas, after a long illness.
 
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at the Yorktown Church of Christ with the Rev. Robert Ernst, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
 
A memorial has been established in her memory.
 
Mrs. Hayden was born Feb. 8, 1901 in Lee, the daughter of Elmer and Anna (Rasmussen) Fritsch.
She was united in marriage to Charles Gumfory on March 13, 1922 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1954.  She was then united in marriage to Harold P. Hayden on Jan. 1, 1959, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1964.
 
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Cleo Jean) Irwin of Wichita, Kansas, and Mrs. Lester (Anita) Gudgell of Tampico; one step-daughter, Mrs. Fred (Bonnie) Cook of Mohomet; one step-son, Robert Hayden and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son, Carl Sumfory and two grandsons.
