Mrs. Lena Black Dies Monday
 
Mrs. Lena M. Black, 87, formerly of Yorktown, died Monday in the home of her daughter Mrs. Larry Nielsen of Darian, Ill.
 
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Yorktown with the Dr. Joel O. Rustad officiating.  Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at Behrens Blair Funeral Home and Thursday at the church from noon until time of service.
 
She was born Aug. 31, 1889 in Thomas, the daughter of George and Anna E. (Sandrock) Lickhard.  She attended Thomas schools, and married Arthur Black in Thomas, Ill., on Dec. 28, 1910.  She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Yorktown and a member of the Royal Neighbors of Thomas.
 
She is survived by one son, Marvin Black of Sterling, one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Donna) Nielsen of Darian; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Mary Lickhard of Denver, Colo.; one half brother, Amiel Roseling of Manlius and one half sister, Ida Roseling of Denver, Colo.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, two great-grandsons and two sisters.
