John H. Mosher Services Monday
 
John H. Mosher, 90, R.R. 3, Prophetstown, died Friday evening at Community General Hospital, Sterling.  Funeral services will commence with prayer services at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Schmitt Funeral Chapel, Tampico, and with Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Rev. Eugene Parker will officiate at the services, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with Rosary recited at 8 p.m. Sunday.
 
He was born in Deer Grove on March 31, 1886, the son of John and Kathryn Higgins Mosher. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Alice Curran on Jan. 15, 1907, in Tampico by Rev. DuFore, and the couple farmed in the Tampico area until 1921, and in the Prophetstown area until 1945.
 
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a former member of the Farm Bureau and
Director for the Prophetstown Mutual Insurance Company.
 
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Hilaire (Frances) Castelein of Prophetstown; two sons, Raynor of R. R. 3, Prophetstown and Joseph of R.R. 1, Geneseo;  two sisters, Mrs. Dave (Annie) Fuller of Garner, Iowa; and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Overley of Marshall, Michigan; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Alice in November of 1949, two brothers, and five sisters.
