JAMES  'CHRIS'  SORENSEN

 
Prophetstown: - James "Chris" Sorensen, 34, of Prophetstown, died Sunday in his home.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:30p.m. Wednesday at the Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery.  Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Tuesday at the mortuary.  A memorial has been established.
 
Mr. Sorensen was born July 25, 1951 in Moline. He was united in marriage to Sarah Kindle on Aug. 19, 1972 in Green Rock. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a roundsman in the maintenance department of IBP Meat Packers in Joslin.
 
He is survived by his wife, Sarah;  two sons, Maurice Q., and Francis A., both at home;  his mother, Mrs. Alberta Sorensen, Carbon Cliff;  two sisters, Joyce Broman, Rapids City and Norma Jean Sorensen, Carbon Cliff; one brother, Terry L., Tom Bean, Texas; and his grandmother, Mrs. Verba Cox, Renshaw.
