LUE  I.  BEACHER
 
Tampico: - Lue I. Beachler, 82, formerly of Tampico, died Wednesday morming in Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown.
 
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Garland Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Yost, pastor of the Rock River Christian Center officiating. Burial will be in Greenville-Fairfield Cemetery in New Bedford. Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
 
Mr. Beachler was born Sept. 29, 1902 in Viola, the son of Charles and Minnie Steepleton Beachler. On Jan. 12, 1932 he married Vera Rasmussen in New Bedford. She preceded him in death in November 1973.  They farmed in the Tampico area for about 15 years.  Mr. and Mrs. Beachler owned and operated Vera's Lunch Restaurant in Tampico for over 20 years, retiring in 1972. 
 
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Caroline) Inboden of Rock Falls;  four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Earl Beachler of Walnut; and three sisters, Mrs. William (Lucy) Tinder of Monmouth, Mrs. Ernest (Orpha) Peterson of Aledo and Catheryn Beachler of Oregon.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, one infant son, three brothers and two sisters.
