PROPHETSTOWN -- Roelvina Katherine Zuidema, 92, of Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center, Prophetstown, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the nursing home. She and her husband farmed in the Morrison area for 46 years until retiring.

Mrs. Zuidema was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Morrison, the daughter of Louis and Reake (Brackemeyer) Shipma. She married Harold Zuidema on Sept. 12, 1935, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1995. She was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane (Arnold) Brooks, of Prophetstown; son, Allen (Carol) Zuidema, of Argyle, Wis.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at noon Friday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison, with the Rev. Philip Stel, associate pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, officiating. Burial is at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
