CHARLES TOMPKINS

Tampico: - Charles Tompkins
, 76, of E. 3rd St., Tampico, died Sunday at home. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.


A memorial have been established to the Tampico Ambulance Service.


Mr. Tompkins was born Dec. 5, 1913 in Louisville, Kentucky. He married July 4, 1933 in Rock Falls to Fern Burns. He was co-owner of Tompkins Aluminum Foundry in Rock Falls.


Survivors are his wife, son, David of Rock Falls, three daughters, Mrs. Al (Pat) Miller, Davenport, Mrs. Tom (Kaye) Walter, Grand Detour, Mrs. Larry (Sue) Burger, Tampico, 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.


He was preceded by one son, one granddaughter, several brothers and sisters.
