TAMPICO BRIEFS

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Downs of Chicago came Saturday to spend a week's vacation in the home of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Shaheen. Sunday Mr Downs took Mr. and Mrs. Shaheen to Great Lakes Naval Training Sttion where they spent the day with their son, Richard Shaheen, seaman, third class.

Mrs. Nell McKenzie returned to Chicago Saturday after spending the past week in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Smnith She was accompanied by her son, David, who had spent the summer in Tampico in the homes of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McKenzie.

Sunday evening callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Teske were Mr. and Mrs. Fred STrike and family of Yorktown, Mr.a nd Mrs. Delmar Johnson and family of Como, Mr. and Mrs. Virden Johnson and family of Rock Falls, and Alfred Berge of Propehtstwon.

Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rasmussen and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Burke spent several days in Chicago last week.

Mrs. Clifford Allen and daughters Barbara and Marilyn, have returned to Aleandria, Va., after spending two weeks visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Brainerd in Tampico, and relatives in Harmon and Dixon.

Mrs. Dorothy Klotz and Mildred and Pauline DeWeerd of Sterling were overnight guess of the former's aprents, Mr. and Mrs. A Bruder. Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Warren McKenzie visited friends in Chicago Saturday and Sunday.
