J. J. KEPNER was honored at an open house in observance of his 95th birthday on Sunday afternoon in his home in the country. One hundred friends and relatives called.  KEPNER was wearing a red carnation boutonniere. Guests were greeted by his son Dyson.

A beautiful arrangement of mixed flowers graced the serving table and was flanked with green and ink candles in crystal holders.

Mrs. Stanley Peterson, Kewanee, served he punch from a crystal bowl and Miss Sharon BERGE poured from a silver coffee service.

The cake was served by Mrs. David Kepner, Walnut, and Mrs. Irving STEWART, Rockford. Mrs. Homer KEPNER, Mrs. Wilson BERGE, and Mrs. Leroy STEWART assisted in the kitchen.

Guests were present from Rockford, Oregon, Wheaton, Walnut, Buda, Annawan, Sheffield, Manlius, Lyndon, Prophetstown, Deer Grove and Tampico.

KEPNER received a telephone call from Mrs. Maude Fisher of Pasedena, Calif., that evening. He also received a birthday greeting from Senator Charles PERCY.
