The Tampico Area Historical Society encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County in Illinois. Focus is on Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove, & Prophetstown in Whiteside County & Yorktown & Thomas in Bureau County.

hi everyone. my name is MARI COLE-KIRST. my dad is WILLIAM KIRST. i was wondering if anyone might have any old pics of my dad.he passed away on may 13th,1987. i only have 1 pic of him. maybe some one knows my uncle donnie and might be able to get some pics from him. my mother has pics, but we havent spoken in YEARS.so i cant get any that way. anything about my dad would be great. you can send them to me e-mail address :

Mari,
Were your dad's parents John P & Grace Kirst? If so, was your dad's first or middle name Kenneth? I can find no reference to any William or Bill Kirst in Tampico - but I could be wrong.
Did your dad die in MI?

Yes,that is my father. william kennith kirst. and yes he died may 13th, 1987. In niles, michigan. Berrien county. He's buried at the fort custard national cemetery, in battle creek, michigan. hos is my uncle donnie ? and his boys ? i havent seen or heard from them in years. like i said in my earlier post anything on my dad that anyone could get for me would be great.
