This message re: David Foy posting on descendents of my gr gr grfa, William Foy. I am not aware that a bill foy jr. came down from William Foy, he b. 1788 in Vermont. The posting shows that both jr. and sr. died the same place and same yr. Also confusing: If bill foy was b. iin 1788, and his known son john foy was b. 6-10-1820, there would be no Generational space to squeeze-in bill jr. between bill sr. and john. Are you saying, David, that john foy was born of bill foy jr., instead of bill b. 1788??? Also, that name of wife attributed to bill jr, maria something sounds familiar. Was "Maria" possibly a second wifwe to bill "sr"
I am also looking for the precedents of William foy, b. 1788, vermont. My grfa., edward martin foy always said that his father's people were Irish. I find a bunch of foys presumably above some william, a chas., but those folks seem to come from Scotland. Anyone have any info on this? end ralph ledingham foy, jr. rlfoyjr@gmail.com
