I am looking for any information on the David J. Connell and Julia Callahan/Callaghan family line. He was born in N. Tipperary Ireland in 1866 or '65 to Cornelius James O'Connell/Connell and Mary Hayes.

Julia was born in Whiteside County, I believe, in 1872, and I think her father's name was Michael.

David J. Connell married Julia Callahan/Callaghan in Ida Grove, Iowa in 1895. They moved between Iowa and Whiteside County, I believe, since my father was born in Whiteside County in 1915, but moved to north Scott County.

When I was a child, we visited my father's (Harold P. Connell) cousins by the name of Steder in the Whiteside Co. area. I believe he also had cousins by the name of Burke there.

David J. Connell had a sister Bridget also born in N. Tipp and a brother Cornelius born in Ireland (not sure where) who I believe married Julia's sister Anna Callahan.

I have been to the birthplace of my grandfather, David J. Connell, in N. Tipp. and would like to share and exchange any info other relatives may have of either the Connells or Callaghans.

Julia Callaghan also had brother Jim, I believe. David J. and Julia Connell are buried at St. Ann's Cemetery in
Long Grove, Iowa, not far from their home place. David and Julia's children were as follows: James, Timothy, John "Leo", a daughter Beryl Connell Tobin who died in her 30s in the 1930s, Harold (my father), and Vincent, all deceased.

Please contact me if you any info.
