Hello,
I am seeking information on Rev. George William (Fletcher?) Dir (1807-1878). He is, I think, my 2X great-grandfather.
I am particularly interested in this ancestor and wondered what religious denomination he was affiliated with, among other things. Thank you so much for any information (or direction as to other places I should be looking) you can provide.

I am still working on this. I did find a marriage for a William Dir:
DIR, WILLIAM HACKETT, SARAH 1861-06-30 Bureau. I will check our church records at the Historical Society to see if he is listed on the Pastors' List.
