TAHS New Entries of May 2005

Jun 2, 2005

Hello all! We've had a busy month with so many people
submitting their family histories and photos. My "right
arm" aka: Becky Jones has diligently transcribed more bios
from the PORTRAIT & BIOGRAPHICAL ALBUM OF WHITESIDE COUNTY,
IL, published in 1885. The Tampico Area Historical Society
& Museum includes: Whiteside Co. -Tampico, Deer
Grove/Hahnaman Twp, Hume Twp.; Bureau Co. -
Yorktown/Fairfield Twp., Thomas, and part of Henry Co. -
Yorktown. By default, we include other surrounding areas
such as Prophetstown, Sterling, Rock Falls, etc. We hope
there is something for everyone in these vicinities. Our
website offers FREE historical/genealogical information to
all who are interested. The HOME page is the main menu (be
sure to scroll all the way down so you don't miss
anything). There is a "quick reference" tab at top of page
- "WHAT'S NEW" for the latest entries for that month, with
a direct link to the new entry. Here are the entries for
May 2005:
