TAHS Website Updates for August 2006

Sep 1, 2006

The Tampico Area Historical Society website offers FREE
historical & genealogical information in parts of Whiteside
& Bureau Counties. There is an inter-active Message Board
that is monitored daily. The website is an extention of the
"Brick & Mortor" museum located in Tampico, Whiteside
County, Illinois. Our general areas of interest are
Tampico, Hume Twp., Deer Grove and Prophetstown in
Whiteside County. In Bureau County, we cover Yorktown and
Thomas and nearby vicinity. By default, we have
biographical sketches for all of Whiteside and Bureau
Counties and have transcribed many on site. Please see the
Table of Contents for indexes.

CORRECTIONS
Tampico Memorial Cemetery lists John R. Aydelotte as dieing
Aug. 17, 1920. This should read 1902 per his obit! ( I am
revising the cemetery lists, but will leave the old ones
posted until the revised versions are completed.)
TMC had death date of Ralph E Foy as 1957 - Should be 1975.

NEW WEB PAGES
These are works-in-progress but here is a "sneak peek"
