TAHS Website Updates for Dec. 2006
Dec 21, 2006
Wow! It sounds so cliche, but WHERE did the year go? Once again, so many wonderful people have contributed to this site and made it such a glorious repository for area history. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! Holidays are a great time to dig out those "mystery photos" when the family is all together. Be sure to have your archive-safe pens available for everyone to help identify those old photos. It's also a good time to gather medical history. Have a pre-printed form for each family member to fill out and leave with the family "historian." Use them to compile a medical history on your family. When making a report, you don't have to mention names, but rather preface it with "on the paternal (or maternal) line, (name of illness/condition) is prevelant - or something to that effect. We recently discovered a condition that runs in the paternal males in our family which can be life-threatening if not treated, but it is not often diagnosed unless the doctors know to look for it. If found in time, it can be treated successfully. Have a wonderful, safe holiday season with your family and friends. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas (not intended as a "political statement" - merely a heartfelt wish from me to you!)
