May 8, 2011 - 10:00a.m. - Mother's Day Service at Tampico's Church of Christ, 201 S.Fremont, Tampico. On Mother’s Day in 1992 Ronald & Nancy Reagan attended worship services at the Tampico Church of Christ and to commemorate this event the church is inviting the public to a special service where the same Pastor who delivered the message in 1992 will return to deliver the sermon at the 10am service.
May 8, 2011 - 2:00 p.m. - Video @ Church, 201 S Fremont St., & Refreshments @ Tampico Historical Society, 119 Main St., Tampico. At 2 pm the Tampico Historical Society is sponsoring a video of the Reagan's 1992 Mothers' Day visit which will be shown at the Church followed by refreshments at the Tampico Historical Museum located at 119 S. Main St.

May 30, 2011,10:00 a.m. - Tampico Annual Memorial Day Cemetery Walk. Start at St. Mary's Cemetery and finish in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Scheduled to be honored: Sturm Family by Connie Schmitt Essig, a descendent; and Thomas Steadman, by Audrey Lange, a descendent. In case of inclement weather, will meet in Tampico Community Bldg. on W.Market St. Program will begin with gun salute by the Tampico American Legion 574.
