CORRECTED Tampico Calendar of Events - May 15-30

May 12, 2011

I inadvertently forgot the most important meeting date! Our TAHS meeting on the 24th. Sorry - I am trying to do too many things at one time and my audience suffers the consequences.

ADOPT-A-GRAVE Fund Raiser for TAHS - PLEASE place your orders now! The Tampico Historical Society in Conjunction with Flowerland of Prophetstown will be hosting its 3rd annual Adopt-A-Grave fund raiser. There are a lot of unkempt graves during the holidays. It may be because family is far away, doesn't have time to decorate or maybe all family has passed away. Whatever the reason, we want our cemeteries to look beautiful when the Historical society does their annual Memorial Day Cemetery Walk. Choose from one of the 4 arrangements below, and help our Historical Society. We will provide arrangements for Tampico Memorial, Catholic and Yorktown Cemeteries and place the on the appropriate stones. Tell us whose grave you would like to remember, or we will adopt one for you. Orders must be called in no later than May 26th. We also provide arrangements for you to pick up at an arranged time to take to other cemeteries. If you are interested in adopting a grave, please contact Joan Johnson at 815-622-8705 or garyjoan@thewisp.net
